A3 Hiab training centre's course objectives for N001 INDUSTRIAL COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFT TRUCK

Course syllabus includes:

  • By the end of this course the operator will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:
  • Have the basic understanding of the industry and the danger's of working in the industry and their responsibilities as a operator.
  • Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer's hand book and other sources of information, on regulation and legislation.
  • Be able to locate and identify the major components of the industrial counterbalance fit and explain their functions.
  • Be able to locate and identify all operating controls and explain their functions.
  • Safely mount and dismount of the industry counterbalance fit.
  • Conduct all pre-operational cheeks.
  • Configure the industrial counterbalance fit ready for travel.
  • Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area.
  • Manoeuvre counterbalance fork lift laden and unladen in a open and in confined spaces.
  • Stacking and destacking of pallets at various heights.
  • The use of various attachments removable and to fit.
  • Load security and vehicle security.
  • Carry out end of shift shut down procedures.

Facilities required on your site:

A training room suitable for 3 candidates, sufficient practical training space to carry out assessments and testing. Delegates will require PPE as per the company's internal risk assessments.

Novice Operator: Duration 5 Days:

For operators who have never previously operated a forklift truck.

Experienced Operator : Duration 3 Days:

For operators who have experience on a forklift truck but have no certification or their certificate is over 5 years old.

Refresher & Test: Duration 1 Day:

For operators whose certificate is between 3 & 5 years old. Student must be able to produce previous certification on the first day of the course.
